Women in Government Relations is thrilled to partner with the Courage to Run 5K, the nation's first nonpartisan run and walk that celebrates the rising wave of women getting civically active and running for office. It also elevates the mindset, endurance and heartfelt vision needed to be healthy and lead effectively in civic life today. Here's the truth: Whether running a 5K, a campaign, a cause, for elected office or our government, it takes courage ... and we have the Courage to Run.
Run or walk at the flagship event in Washington, DC or create a Virtual Courage to Run 5K in your local community. Virtual runs allow you to participate in the Courage to Run from anywhere and at any time. You can run, jog, hop, skip or jump on the road, on the trail or canvassing door-to-door. We send you all you need - bib, t-shirt and medal.
The DC 5K is a 5K chip-timed, USATF-certified course in the Historic Congressional Cemetery and along the Anacostia River, and ends with a finish-line party and civic fair. The Courage to Run will power up your mind, body and heartfelt vision.
