Event Description


Key to the rulemaking process is the opportunity engagement with stakeholders impacted by the proposed action. This session will discuss various opportunities where the public, small businesses, state &local government partners or the regulated community can or should be participating in the rulemaking process. Learn about consultation and rulemaking procedures that operate differently than expected and understand why agencies may rely on non-regulatory documents that allow them to circumvent notice and comment procedures.

Regulatory 101: Setting the Stage (9/17, 12-1pm)
The session will provide an overview of the relationship between regulatory policy and congressional action, look at how regulatory process has been historically and currently, and the effect of this administration approach to regulation.

 

Executive Orders & Regulatory Review (10/23, 12-1pm)
Learn about the tools available to them to guide and oversee regulatory activity across federal agencies.

 

Stakeholder Participation & Rule Making (11/28, 12-1pm)

Learn about consultation and rulemaking procedures that operate differently than expected and understand why agencies may rely on non-regulatory documents that allow them to circumvent notice and comment procedures.

Payment, Replacement & Refund Policy
WGR event registration fees must be paid in advance. If you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute, however you are responsible for the difference in fees if the individual is a non-member. The deadline to receive a refund is three (3) business days prior to the event. The request must be received in writing, prior to the deadline.
