Event Description

The Office of Management and Budget serves as gatekeeper for Executive Branch policy making establishing guidance and reviewing proposals before release. Learn about the tools available to them to guide and oversee regulatory activity across federal agencies. This session will look at what can be required of agencies under OIRA review and provide an understanding of how some policies have changed under the current Administration and where other policies have remained the same. 

Lunch will be provided.

Regulatory 101: Setting the Stage (9/17, 12-1pm)
The session will provide an overview of the relationship between regulatory policy and congressional action, look at how regulatory process has been historically and currently, and the effect of this administration approach to regulation.


Navigating the Regulatory Map (11/5, 12-1pm)
Learn how Federal Agencies proceed through the regulatory development process and develop and understanding for the statutory requirements that influence them.


Stakeholder Participation & Rule Making (11/28, 12-1pm)

Learn about consultation and rulemaking procedures that operate differently than expected and understand why agencies may rely on non-regulatory documents that allow them to circumvent notice and comment procedures.

    • Member: $25
    • Non Member: $50

Payment, Replacement & Refund Policy
WGR event registration fees must be paid in advance. If you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute, however you are responsible for the difference in fees if the individual is a non-member. The deadline to receive a refund is three (3) business days prior to the event. The request must be received in writing, prior to the deadline.

Registration and attendance at WGR events constitutes an agreement by the registrant to WGR’s use and distribution of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs and videotapes.
